Germany’s coronavirus tracing up ready

Germany’s health minister, Jens Spahn, has stated that the country’s coronavirus tracing app is ready to be deployed, Reuters has reported. The app was delayed in a bit to improve the Bluetooth technology’s accuracy in measuring distances. The new technology detects people who are at risk of infection and contacts them without pinging to a centralised server. This helps protect privacy. The app will be deployed this week. Governments and health experts around the world believe an accurate coronavirus tracing app could help stop the second wave of virus infections. Germany is also easing a blanket travel ban on the EU and Britain and replacing it with country-specific instructions.
